The Queen

Here comes the Queen of 70’s Pop Culture… I bought this Cher Live In Concert DVD recently. Konsert nie dirakam tahun 2000… masa lagu “Believe” tengah meletup dulu… tapi DVD dia baru jer keluar… memang lazat dengan costumes segala… and Cher is really a funny person… I smile all the way while watching this concert... Satu cerita... teringat masa study dulu Kak Pooh pernah cakap Cher nie asalnya lelaki tapi operate jadi pompuan… mengarut jer Kak Pooh… tergelak2 bila ingat balik…

This concert ada almost semua lagu popular Cher spanning 40 years of her singing career… termasuk my favourite, “The Shoop Shoop Song”… tapi ada satu lagu yang membuat I rasa sedih… “We All Sleep Alone”… hehehe

And DVD nie pun mengingatkan hem kat kaset The Very Best of Cher (beli longgok kat Speedy 2 in 1 cassette for RM 3.90... sapa nak bagi tuh???) yang ada kat dalam kereta and has been in my player for quite sometime… well like they always say… “You Ain’t A Queen, Unless You Love The Queen!”…

Weekend Shopping!

Last Saturday, Hani MJ and I went to Berjaya Times Square to watch The X-Files: I Want To Believe (turned out to be The X-Files: I Want To Puke!!!)... cerita "macam gampang!!" (meminjam kata2 zizie jelit)... So we headed to Borders... and to our surprise, for the 1st time in the history of mankind... Borders Times Square is having a "make-over sale" (don't know what that supposed to mean)... and the rest is history... hehehe

Almost all audio cd dijual dengan diskaun 30%... or paling best sekali!!! Buy 1 free 1 (take 2 cds... and they'll give the cheapest one for free)... tapi tak banyak la cd best2 yang tinggal... maybe kitorang lambat tau pasal sale nie... or memang diorang simpan cd2 tu x bagi bargain... so I managed to find one Sheryl Crow's cd that I never had... "C'mon, C'mon"...

And yang free nyer (this is great!)... I found Carrie Underwood's "Some Heart" yang I x pernah ada lagi (walaupun minat giler kat Carrie nie...) hurmm this bargain is a heaven for cd collectors!!

And then I bumped into this coffe table book... about Audrey Hepburn (I nie memang minat Audrey Hepburn sejak lama dulu... (I mean sejak I mula pakai perfume Givenchy... which was about 10 years ago... ahakzz!!!)... buku nie lengkap dengan pictures and mementos from her life and career... so beli la... walaupun reganya boleh tahan gak... sebab the concept of shopping that i adopt is "kalau dah suka benda tu, beli jer... sebab kalau x beli, esok akan dtg balik ke tempat tu utk beli... and masa tu benda tu dah x ada... baru la nak menyesal"

Buku Audrey Hepburn tu lebih kurang sama macam one coffee table book that I already have in my collection, "Celine Dion: For Keeps"... buku nie pun lengkap dengan pictures and mementos from Celine's life and career... hmm wonderful! So the weekend shopping has been satisfying... instead of asyik beli baju jer... hehehe

So He's Not Gay...

Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan yang mendakwa diliwat oleh penasihat PKR Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim bukan seorang pengamal homoseks, kata peguamnya hari ini."Tidak," kata peguam itu Zamri Idrus apabila ditanya sama ada pemuda 23 tahun itu seorang "gay."Zamri hari ini mengadakan sidang media bagi menjelaskan pendirian bapa pemuda itu Azlan Mohd Lazim di sebuah hotel di Kuala Lumpur.

Bapa Mohd Saiful menyifatkan Anwar seseorang yang "banyak alasan" dan suka "berdolak-dalik" berhubung siasatan kes anaknya. "Demi membela Mohd Saiful yang menjadi mangsa bekas majikannya ini, saya dan keluarga saya menuntut dengan setegasnya kepada individu yang terlibat supaya memberikan kerjasama yang sepenuhnya dalam penyiasatan pihak polis," katanya.Azlan berkata, berbeza daripada Anwar, Mohd Saiful telah mengambil sikap "berani kerana benar dan beliau (anaknya) tanpa sebarang masalah telah memberikan kerjasama yang sepenuhnya bagi membantu polis membuat siasatan."Kenyataan lima perenggan Azlan dibacakan oleh Zamri.

Turut serta dalam sidang media itu seorang bapa saudara Mohd Saiful yang mahu dikenali 'Uncle Pat.' Azlan juga berkata anaknya (foto fail, kanan) sanggup bersumpah secara Islam bagi menegakkan kebenaran dakwaannya selepas polis menyelesaikan siasatan mereka. Beliau juga menyatakan rasa sedihnya Mohd Saiful diperlakukan sedemikian oleh Anwar."Saiful berkali-kali menyebut kepada saya dan keluarga kami bahawa beliau bertindak begini kerana kebenaran dan saya berdoa kepada Allah supaya menunjukkan kebenaran itu."Yang terpenting, saya dan keluarga saya memohon kepada pihak berwajib membawa individu yang terlibat ke muka pengadilan secepat mungkin," katanya mengakhiri kenyataan bertulis tersebut.Menurut peguam, Azlan tidak hadir di sidang media itu kerana "ada hal lain."Ditanya hubungan Mohd Saiful dengan kenalan baiknya Rahimi Osman dan bekas pemimpin kanan PKR Mohamad Ezam Mohd Nor dengan seorang pemimpin negara, Zamri berkata: "Tidak, tidak, perkara ini biarlah pihak polis lakukan siasatan dahulu."

Miss Universe 2008 (part 2)

As you all already knew... Venezuela won the Miss Universe crown for the 5th time... It is about time for Venezuela to win the pageant after 12 years (last time was in 1996 when Alicia Machado won in Las Vegas)

For my prediction... I got 8 contestants right... well I don't like this year's top15 list... I think this year's Top15 are rough and hard to be understood... and the exclusion of Panama, Puerto Rico and Belgium only made the way easier for Venezuela to win.

Anyway USA was the true star of the night when she tripped off the stage (repeating her predecessor's incident last year)... Next year's Miss USA kena mandi bunga sambil diiringi lagu "Merawat Luka Terpendam" nyanyian Liza Hanim untuk membuang sial...
